Athlete’s Touch will be following Practice Guidelines recommended by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), along with infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

As of 12/31/20, the offices in Athlete's Touch are now protected by a REME HALO device.  The Halo was installed into our HVAC system and basically serves as an "air scrubber", neutralizing Covid at a 99.9% efficiency rate

  • We may communicate with you beforehand to obtain updates to your health information and ask you specifically about your potential exposure to COVID-19.  If you have recently been exposed (exposure date is defined as within the past 2 weeks) to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you must not enter Athlete’s Touch for 14 days after the exposure or until you test negative.

  • Please take your temperature the day before your scheduled appointment.  If you are 100.4 or higher, please reschedule your appointment.

  • When you arrive at the office, please come inside.  In Portland, our waiting room is open and chairs are spaced appropriately.  In Kennebunk, there is a large central common area with couches and chairs for you to wait for your LMT.

  • We’ll ask you if you have developed any symptoms of illness. If you feel ill on the day of your session, there is no penalty for canceling your appointment. Massage is not advised if you have any symptoms of illness. Please email athletestouch@gmail.com to cancel

  • Please bring a face mask to use while you are in the building, and during your massage. Face Masks are required for all team members and clients by the current CDC Healthcare Guidelines.

No Face Mask = No Service

  • We will ask you to sign an informed consent form that states, “I understand that close contact with people increases the risk of infection from COVID-19. By signing this form, I acknowledge that I am aware of the risks involved and give consent to receive massage from this practitioner.”

  • There is a hand-hygiene station that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find hand sanitizer in the treatment room and other places in our facility for you to use as needed. The treatment room you will be using will have been cleaned immediately prior to your arrival, using Cavicide, which is and EPA registered disinfectant  approved for List N: Products with Emerging Viral Pathogens AND Human Coronavirus claims for use against SARS-CoV-2

We are looking forward to seeing you again and thank you for being our client.  We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back to a safe, therapeutic environment. Please let us know if you have any questions about the steps we have taken to keep you, and every client, safe in our practice.
